INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a display device and an input device of a portable computer as a display device and an input device of another computer. SOLUTION: A display output connector 2a of an external information processing device 1 and an external display signal input connector 9 of an information processing device 5 are connected with each other, and a display signal from the display 1 is inputted to a display control unit of the device 5 to be synthesized with the display data from an information processing device control unit of the device 5 to be displayed on a display device 6. A keyboard connector 3a and a mouse connector 4a of the device 1 are connected to an external keyboard output connector 13a and an external mouse output connector 14a of the device 5, respectively, a character input signal from a keyboard 7 and a coordinate input signal from a pointing device 8 are generated as a signal for an external output by a keyboard and pointing device control unit, and outputted as keyboard data and coordinate data to the device 1.
