Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and method by which a video image is switched and displayed in short time comparatively at low cost. SOLUTION: The video display device is provided with a control data storage means for storing signal processing control data generated by a control data generation means by adding correspondence relation with an input terminal specified by an operation means to it, reading and outputting signal processing control data corresponding to the input terminal after switching when a specified input terminal by the operation means is switched to other input terminal, executes a signal processing operation according to the signal processing control data when the signal processing control data is generated by the control data generation means and executes the signal processing operation according to the signal processing control data when the signal processing control data is output from the control data storage means.
