Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogeneration system capable of being operated while controlling both of heat glut and heat shortage regardless of fluctuation of actual thermal load. SOLUTION: This cogeneration system is provided with a cogeneration device 1 generating combined heat and power, a hot water storage means 4 storing hot water in a hot water storage tank 2 by the heat generated in the cogeneration device 1, and an operation control means controlling the operation, and the operation control means repeats an intermittent operation for intermittently operating the cogeneration device 1 by determining operation time zones in an operation period composed of a plurality of times, every operation period. The operation control means is constituted to judge whether a standby condition for stopping the cogeneration device 1 is satisfied or not on the basis of the heat quantity of hot water stored in the hot water storage tank 2 at a starting time point and predicted thermal load for the next operation period, at the starting time point of the operation period, and to stop the cogeneration device 1 in the next operation period when it is judged that the standby condition is satisfied.
