Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain temperature rise of a blade tip by heightening a degree of freedom in design, and dispersing heats from a contact portion with a cut material and a vicinity thereof more quickly. SOLUTION: This cutting tool 10 is equipped with a cutting chip 14. The cutting chip 14 has a substrate part 18, and a carbon-based substance c having a graphite crystal structure is provided on the substrate part 18. The carbon-based substance C is preferably a carbon fiber. When the carbon-based substance C is provided on the substrate part 18, the carbon-based substance C is arranged to a cutting blade 24 in a predetermined direction so that heat conductivity of the carbon-based substance C becomes higher than that of the substrate part 18.
