Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic scattering element and its manufacturing method capable of reducing the number of processes and more conveniently manufacturing the anisotropic scattering element as compared to the conventional manufacturing method of the anisotropic scattering element. SOLUTION: The anisotropic scattering element has an anisotropic scattering layer which contains at least two kinds of compounds and has at least two phases, on a substrate, wherein at least one kind of at least the two kinds of compounds is a lyotropic liquid crystalline compound (A), at least one kind is a compound (B) phase-separated from the lyotropic liquid crystalline compound, and the lyotropic liquid crystalline compound (A) and the compound (B) exist in phases different from each other.
