Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition having high medicinal activities, by extracting an active ingredient in tea leaves, using the extracted active ingredient as a raw material for a health food and a medicine, and more efficiently utilizing tea leaves and also tea leaves (discarded cut leaves) which are not used for tea manufacture in order to effectively make good use of characteristics of tea leaves. SOLUTION: The medicinal composition comprises an extract from tea leaves including discarded cut leaves and soluble in water and acetic acid, or slightly soluble in acetic acid and soluble in ethanol. The medicinal composition comprises a catechin polymer and a peptide as main components and has high medicinal activities.
