Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a mold from falling due to breakage of an adapter plate and rapidly detect a situation responsible for occurrence of the falling. SOLUTION: This mold falling prevention device is installed on a mold platen 5 and prevents the mold from falling, in a molding machine of such a structure that the adapter plate 7 with the mounted mold is fixed to the mold platen 5 by a fitting fixture, In addition, the device is equipped with a shank member which has its end fitted to the mold platen 5 and penetrates through the adapter plate 7 from the mold platen 5 and is projected extending from the adapter plate 7, a supporting part formed, in one piece, on the other end of the shank member, and a breakaway warning means which warns the breakaway of the adapter plate 7 from the mold platen 5, based on a change in the relative position between the mold platen 5 and the adapter plate 7.
