Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the conventional crystal oscillator that the completed product is very expensive since a recessed part is formed to a substrate to mount a piezoelectric resonator and a semiconductor device therein, and the entire components are hermetically sealed by a cover, resulting in increasing cost as the structure of the substrate is more complicated. SOLUTION: A crystal oscillator, widely used for various electronic apparatuses including communication apparatuses as the reference source of a frequency and a time, is characterized in to include: a piezoelectric resonator including exciting electrodes; a substrate including wiring electrodes electrically connected to the exciting electrodes by using a connection material; a cover for hermetically sealing the exciting part of the piezoelectric resonator; and a sealing member for sealing respective outer circumferential parts of the piezoelectric resonator and the cover, and through the adoption of the structure above, the very compact crystal oscillator can easily be obtained and space-saving and cost effectiveness or the like can be achieved.
