APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR APPLYING GUIDE BELT, AND PHOTORECEPTOR BELT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for securely and inexpensively applying a guide belt by which the guide belts are simultaneously applied to the regular position of the inner side both ends of a photoreceptor belt, without bringing the guide belts into contact with an exterior surface of the photoreceptor belt and causing kinks, and to provide a photoreceptor belt to which guide belts are applied by the apparatus and the method. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: an upper roller 2 and lower roller 3 for driving a photoreceptor belt 1, that is arranged in a perpendicular direction in the state of cantilever beam and stretched therebetween, as an endless track; a guide belt supply means; and an applying roller 4 for applying the guide belt by pressure to the photoreceptor belt 1. When the photoreceptor belt 1, suspended over a shaft 13 that is a rod-shaped stretching tool, is stretched to the upper roller 2 and the lower roller 3, the upper roller 2 and/or the lower roller 3 moves in a perpendicular direction and consequently the distance between the uppermost part of the upper roller 2 and the lowermost part of the lower roller 3 becomes smaller than the perpendicular diameter of the suspended photoreceptor belt 1.
