CAMERA LENS UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera lens unit capable of obtaining stable image forming characteristic as a lens for camera. SOLUTION: The camera lens unit is equipped with: an optical lens system including at least one optical lens; a variable focus type liquid crystal lens, holding a liquid crystal layer between two rectangular transparent substrates; a holding member where the liquid crystal lens is fixedly arranged; and a lens frame, provided internally with the optical lens system and the holding member, in such a state that the centers of the optical axes of the optical lens and the liquid crystal lens are aligned with each other. The holding member has a butting part abutting against the inner wall surface of the lens frame, when the holding member is assembled in the lens frame, and the butting part of the holding member is made to abut against the inner wall surface of the lens frame, whereby the center of the optical axis of the liquid crystal lens is aligned with the center axis of the optical lens.
