PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further restrain deterioration in ride comfort by absorbing the elongation of a rope caused by a secular change without performing maintenance work, while omitting a member becoming the cause of narrowing an effective space of a building. SOLUTION: When a hoisting machine 5 moves a car 1 by hoisting the rope 18, upper running blocks 13 and 14 and lower running blocks 15 to 17 installed on a running block fixing plate 12 move together with the car 1. An outward projecting member is not arranged in the car 1. Even if the elongation is caused in the rope 18, the elongation is absorbed by the movement of the car 1 or the running block fixing plate 12.
