Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel strip coiling device capable of preventing any weaving, and preventing any breakage of an edge of a steel strip to be coiled and any damage on a surface of a coiled coil, and provided with a side guide roller having excellent durability and economy. SOLUTION: The steel strip coiling device comprises a side guide roller 6a with a mesh-like metal fitted to a surface of a roller base material consisting of an elastic body and a steel-made side guide roller 6b as side guide rollers. The position of the axis of rotation of the side guide roller 6a is arranged on its upstream side including a coil-starting contact point. The distance between an outer circumferential surface of the side guide roller 6b and an edge end face of the steel strip to be coiled is set to be larger than the distance between an outer circumferential surface of the side guide roller 6a and the edge end face of the steel strip. A supporting member is provided movably in the width direction of the steel strip so that the side guide rollers 6a and 6b are brought into contact with both side edges of the steel strip to be coiled.
