COMMUNICATION NETWORK AND PROXY MANAGEMENT DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce traffic of communication packets for management concerning a simple network management protocol in a private IP (Internet protocol) network with many IP devices. SOLUTION: Communication nodes 110-1 to 110-n are connected to the private IP network 120, and each communication node is provided with a plurality of IP devices 111-1 to 111-m and a proxy management device 112. The proxy management device 112 collects/stores management information of each object from each IP device connected to the same communication node. The proxy management device 112 further transmits the management information as management information of the object in the own device 112 collectively to a network management device 130. Since the management information of the IP devices 111-1 to 111-m can be transmitted to the network management device 130 by one transmission, traffic of the private network 120 can be reduced.
