PROPELLER SHAFT SUPPORTING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft supporting structure using a tool for reliably supporting an inner ring member in balancing work for a propeller shaft while preventing the entry of water from the end of a boot member. SOLUTION: A shielding member 64 is constructed separately from an inner ring 42, and so balancing work for the propeller shaft 10 can be executed before mounting the shielding member 64. At this time, the inner ring 42 is supported by the pawl of the tool but the shielding member 64 is not mounted, and so the inner ring 42 can be reliably supported by the pawl without the existence of the shielding member 64 in the way. After finishing the balancing work, the shielding member 64 is mounted on the inner ring 42, thus preventing the entry of water from a connection site of the first propeller shaft 14 of a boot 60.
