Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide/polymer composite obtained by compounding a polymer entrapping a functional substance such as a metal and an organic substance and titanium oxide with a layer structure of the order of nanometers, and a method which can manufacture the composite simply and in a short time. SOLUTION: The titanium oxide/polymer composite has a nanolayer structure of a polymer (A) having a linear polyethyleneimine skeleton and titanium oxide (B). The method for manufacturing the composite has a step of growing a polymer having a linear polyethyleneimine skeleton in an aqueous solvent to a crystalline associated product and a step of bringing the above crystalline associated product into contact with a water-soluble titanium compound to perform compounding of the formation of titanium oxide with the polymer.
