METHOD FOR PURIFICATION OF BENZOTRIAZOLE DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the pretreating purification of a dark colored liquid benzotriazole derivative expressed by general formula (A) or (B) to a level sufficiently satisfiable as cosmetic use even by a single vacuum distillation or to a level satisfiable as ordinary industrial raw materials other than cosmetic use without using vacuum distillation, etc. SOLUTION: The benzotriazole derivative can be purified and decolored by adding acid-treated bentonite, an organic acid having reducing action and an adsorbent to the derivative, purifying the derivative by heating and carrying out single vacuum distillation treatment.
