Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device excellent in friction-resistance/abrasion-resistance effect and stably usable for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device using coated pulley is provided with a pinion shaft formed with a tooth; a rack shaft formed with a tooth engaged with the tooth of the pinion shaft at one end side and formed with a ball screw at the other end side; a ball nut provided on a screw through a plurality of balls interposed between the ball nut and the ball screw; a first pulley bonded interlocked with the ball nut; a torque sensor for sensing torque generated at a steering wheel; an electric motor for generating a steering assistance force force by a signal of the torque sensor; a second pulley provided on one end side of the electric motor; a belt for connecting the first pulley and the second pulley and transmitting the steering assistance force of the electric motor to the ball nut.
