STEERING REACTION FORCE CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering reaction force control device furnished with a mechanical reaction force torque giving part to give steering reaction force by springs 23g1, 23g2 and a motor 21 for reaction force to compensate an excessive and short part of spring reaction force torque against target reaction force torque and capable of reducing electric power consumption of the motor 21 for reaction force. SOLUTION: A clutch part 22 is provided on a steering input shaft 12 between the motor 21 for reaction force and a mechanical reaction force torque giving part 23. The steering reaction force torque is given to a steering handle 11 only by the motor 21 for reaction force by devising the spring reaction force torque not to be transmitted to the steering handle 11 by making the clutch part 22 in a non-connected state when the target reaction force torque T* computed in accordance with a vehicle state is smaller than a roughly half of spring reaction force torque Tspr.
