Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color control method and a color control system which permit the implementation of the control of the value of color characteristics of paper white when colors to be controlled which are provided for in a color control chart does not include paper white and performs the control of dot gains. SOLUTION: Whether or not the paper white is included in colors to be control of the color control chart is judged in the beginning of control. When the paper white is not included, in response to the input of the value of the color characteristic of the paper white and the value of color characteristics of the colors to be controlled, the values of the color characteristics of the colors to be controlled is accepted at the time of control, dot gains are computed by a color control information generation means 51 by using the value of color characteristic of the paper white and the values of the color characteristics of the colors to be controlled.
