Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant for wet wire-drawing which is excellent in wettability and dispersiveness to metal powder, and to provide a wet wire-drawing method using the lubricant. SOLUTION: This lubricant contains an ester salt expressed by formula (1) and a carboxylic salt of ≥6C, and the ester salt is 0.1-50 mass% and the carboxylic salt is 1-20 mass% in terms of 100 mass% thereof. This wet wire-drawing method uses the lubricant. In the formula (1), R1 and R2 are alkyl groups of 4-20C, and may be identical to/different from each other, and M is an alkali metal element.
