PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of optimizing camera shake correction processing in accordance with an operating state in a photographing mode. SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes an imaging device, an image processing section, a camera shake correction section; and a control section. The imaging device photographs an object in a photographing screen. The image processing section generates image data on the basis of an output of the imaging device. The camera shake correction section detects a blur amount by the camera shake and corrects an image blur on the basis of the blur amount. The control section controls each section of the camera depending on the priority in the photographing mode for photographing the object and changes the priority of a camera shake correction task relative to control of the camera shake correction section depending on the operating state in the photographing mode.
