METHOD OF ENCAPSULATING ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT AND ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encapsulating method free from degrading performance of an organic EL element, and an organic EL element manufactured by the method, at the time of firm fixing of a thin and lightweight organic EL element with an encapsulating material by an adhesive. SOLUTION: In the encapsulating method of the organic EL element encapsulating an organic EL element having a first electrode, at least one organic compound layer containing a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode on a substrate with a flexible encapsulating member with a barrier property through an adhesive, the adhesive is arranged an a whole surface including the outer periphery face of a light-emitting part of the organic EL element with the light-emitting part and a tip part of an outside fetching electrode in an exposed state, the flexible encapsulating member is overlapped on the adhesive, and only an adhesive part on the outer periphery face of the flexible encapsulating member is crimped to be put under a curing treatment afterwards.
