STORAGE SYSTEM, VIRTUALIZATION METHOD AND STORAGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system, a virtualization method and a storage device, having a small setting burden and high reliability. SOLUTION: In the storage system, an internal device recognizes a logic device set under a channel in a host device on the basis of an inquiry command transmitted from the host device in time of on-line execution. A logic device present in an external device among the respective logic devices set under the channel in the host device is detected on the basis of recognition results thereof, each of the logic device present in the external device among the respective logic devices set under the channel in the host device and a virtual volume corresponding thereto are set inside one's own device on the basis of detection results, and a first logic path is set between each of the set virtual volume and the corresponding logic device inside the external device.
