REINFORCEMENT MEMBER AND PIPE LINE INSERTION METHOD INTO EXISTING PIPE LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement member and a pipe line insertion method into an existing pipe line capable of improving workability. SOLUTION: In the pipe line insertion method into an existing pipe line, the reinforcement member 10 is attached to a pipe line member 26, and the butt fusion of the end of the pipe line member 26 and the end of the other pipe line member 26 is carried out to form a pipe line 12. Beads formed by butt-welding are removed, and then, the reinforcement member 10 is promptly moved in a pipe axial direction to a position across a fusion position 32. Projections 28 of the reinforcement member 10 are engaged with the outer circumference face of the pipe line member 26 to fix the reinforcement member 10 to the pipe line 12. The pipe line 12 inserted into the existing pipe line 14 in a state that a lower side flange 18 contacts with the inner face of the existing pipe line 14. By the reinforcement member 10, a cooling time is shortened, and as a result, a construction time is shortened.
