Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brick for a tilting barrel of a blast furnace, excellent in abrasion resistance and melting loss resistance to FeO, and also to provide a lining mechanism for a tilting trough of a blast furnace and a tilting trough of a blast furnace having excellent prevention means to injuries. SOLUTION: The brick for a tilting trough of a blast furnace is magnesia-chromium-based fired brick comprising the amount of MgO and Cr2O3in the brick of at least 80 mass%, the total amount of flux components of Fe2O3, Al2O3, SiO2and CaO of at most 20 mass% and inevitable impurities in balance. The size of the brick is not lower than 230×114×65 mm and the whole barrel is constituted of at least one block. Optionally, the lining structure is constituted of the compound of the brick and a monolithic refractory. The tilting trough is installed at a shoulder part of the side for receiving pig iron.
