PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly detect the motion of a movable unit by using a magnetic sensor. SOLUTION: A portable device attachable on a user's head is provided with a voice output means employing magnetism, and a supporting mechanism for supporting other members. The device includes a movable unit displaceable for the voice output means in accordance with the displacement of the supporting mechanism; a magnet for detection provided on any one of a stationary unit not displaceable for the voice output means when the movable unit displaces, and the movable unit; and a detecting unit provided on any one where the magnet for detection is not provided from among the stationary and movable units, and detecting a magnetic line of force of the magnet for detection and detecting the movement of the movable unit. The detecting face of the detection unit is arranged so that it is substantially parallel to the moving direction of the movable unit and an angle formed by a normal line direction of the detecting face, and a first direction as a direction formed by a magnetic field generated by the voice output means in a detecting region may be smaller than an angle formed by a second direction vertical to the first direction and the normal line direction of the detecting face.
