JOINT MEMBER AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint member easily mountable after installing caissons, blocks, or the like and excelling in transportability and working efficiency, and to provide its construction method. SOLUTION: Joint member mounting grooves 3, 3 provided at facing caissons 1, 1 or the like and comprising openings 3a are provided with slip-off preventing members 13, 13 on the outside of mounting parts 11, 11 at both ends of an expansion part 12 of a flexible material serving as the joint member 10. These slip-out preventive members 13, 13 to prevent slip-out from the openings 3a of the grooves 3 while securing weight when mounted. Further, mounted shape without a curl is held by the slip-out preventing members 13, and friction with the grooves is reduced to facilitate mounting to the grooves, and mounting after transportation is attained by the slip-out preventing members arranged outside to facilitate handling.
