ELEVATOR DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device capable of making the inside of a car 1 function as a disaster preventive shelter in a disaster such as an earthquake, a fire and a radioactive pollution. SOLUTION: The elevator device comprises an elevating/lowering means for elevating/lowering a car 1 having the function of a disaster preventive shelter, a door opening/closing means for opening/closing a door of the car, disaster detection means (7, 9, 11) for detecting a disaster, and a control means 3 for controlling the elevating/lowering means and the opening/closing means. The control means 3 performs the control so that the car 1 is moved to a set floor based on a damage detection signal of the disaster detection means in a waiting condition with the door being closed, the door of the car 1 is opened when an operation button 15 provided outside the car 1 is operated, and the door of the car 1 is closed by the elapse of the set time when the operation button 15 inside the door-opened car 1 is operated.
