Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for detecting the direction of visual axis more easily and clearly by reducing assumptions. SOLUTION: The method for detecting the direction of visual axis is characterized by inclusion of a step for photographing a luminescent spot on a corneal by a camera by radiating the LED beam to the corneal simultaneously from two LED light sources disposed on the right and left sides of the camera, a step for finding planes including the positions of the LED light sources, the position of the camera and the spacial position of the photographed image of the luminescent spot, a step for finding the intersection line of the two planes, a step for finding the center of the corneal which is located on the intersection line and which satisfies a prescribed condition, and a step for finding the center of the pupil.
