Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray apparatus suitable for a rotary-anode drive motor, such as an induction motor where only small phase angle variations are measured, between standstill state and the operating rotational speed. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a rotary-anode X-ray tube (2); a device for monitoring the rotational speed of a rotary-anode drive motor of the X-ray tube; a sensor circuit for determining angle signal, which is dependent on the phase angle between a reference voltage and a current associated with the motor; a comparator circuit for detecting the angle signal variations which serves as a criterion for the rotational speed of the motor; and a frequency converter (6). A device for forming a keying signal to trigger reduction of the frequency of the rotary-anode drive motor is provided. The device for monitoring the rotational speed decides, that if the change in the angle signal to be detected by the comparator circuit is larger than a certain minimum value, when decrease in the rotational speed is triggered, the motor is rotating properly.
