SOLUTION: The portable telephone 10 having a mail transmitting/receiving function comprises a mail display unit 23, a mail display control unit 28, and a display memory 29. When a predetermined specific key operation or a mail processing operation is performed, the mail display control unit 28 divides the display memory 29 for a plurality of mails of operation object, and develops each mail in the divided display memory before being displayed at the display unit 23.
