Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program correcting system capable of upgrading firmware and/or a program efficiently and safely; a program; and an IC card. SOLUTION: The CPU 221 of the IC card 220 performs encryption authentication when confirming the reception of a mode transition command 505 from a correcting program server 101. When the encryption authentication is successful, the CPU 221 performs a decryption process using a matching encryption key and sends information about the successful encryption authentication to the correcting program server 101. The IC card 220 is changed from a normal mode to an upgrade accepting mode.
