Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system which detect a proximity of an object. SOLUTION: The system utilizes a first irradiation beam (202) from a first field of view (204) directed onto a first detector (124), and a beam from a second field of view (208) directed onto a second detector (126). The system comprises steps of: receiving a second irradiation beam (206) which is directed with a predetermined angle from the first beam; generating a first output signal from the first detector having a correlated relation with an energy received from the first beam, and generating a second output signal from the second detector having a correlated relation with the energy received from the second beam; and outputting a close proximity signal showing the proximity the object when a difference between the first output signal and the second output signal exceeds a predetermined threshold.
