description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vector simultaneously detecting effects of a test substance through activation of a transcription factor having substrate binding properties on a transcriptional activity of a gene for the plurality of transcription factors having the substrate binding properties. SOLUTION: A method for detecting a dioxin-like activity, an estrogen-like activity or an androgen-like activity of the test substance is carried out by using a cell transformed with the vector having an enhancer region enhancing the transcriptional activity of the downstream gene in response to the test substance in a transcription control region of a TH (tyrosine hydroxylase) gene, a promoter functionally linked to the downstream side and a reporter gene functionally linked to the downstream side of the promoter. The method comprises a step of evaluation as follows. The test substance is evaluated to have the dioxin-like activity or estrogen-like activity or androgen-like activity when the expression level of the reporter gene in a cell cultured in the presence of the test substance is higher than the expression level of the reporter gene in the cell cultured in the absence of the test substance.
