OPTICAL DISK DEVICE AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a satisfactory recording grade without performing special test recording in a user data area. SOLUTION: This optical disk device comprises: a storage part for storing write strategy; a means for converting record data into a recording pulse on the basis of the write strategy stored in the storing part; a recording means for performing recording processing for recording the record data by emitting laser beams corresponding to the recording pulse to an optical disk; a temporarily stopping means for temporarily stopping the recording processing; a means for checking the recorded state of the record data from a reproduced signal at the place recorded just before the temporary stopping; a decision means for executing decision processing for deciding whether the write strategy is corrected in accordance with a check result of the checking means; a correcting means for correcting the write strategy and storing the corrected write strategy in the storage part when it is decided that the recorded state just before the temporary stopping is inappropriate; and a recording processing restarting means for restarting the recording processing after correcting the write strategy by the correcting means.
