Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the performance of a regenerator by finding out, in a regenerator for a stirling engine comprising a resin film-wound laminated body, an optimum range of resin film thickness. SOLUTION: A stirling engine 1 reciprocates working gas between a compression space 45 and an expansion space 46 by a piston 12 and a displacer 13, whereby a high-temperature side heat transfer head 40 is heated, and a low-temperature side heat transfer head 41 is cooled. The regenerator 70 disposed between the compression space 45 and the expansion space 46 comprises a resin film-wound laminated body 73 obtained by winding a resin film 72 so as to form a predetermined interlayer gap.
