CONSOLE BOX STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a console box structure of an automobile capable of utilizing the entire rear face of an armrest as the other function face. SOLUTION: The top of an armrest 5 can be opened in a vehicle width direction with respective ends in the vehicle width direction of a front end 14 and a back end 15 of the armrest 5 as a center. Accordingly, a housing part 4 formed on a bottom face 3 of an indentation 2 can be utilized. Accordingly, the rear face of the armrest 5 can be entirely used as a table 5b (the other function face), so as to improve the function as the table face 5b. A rotary arm 9 is rotated while maintaining the top-opened condition of the armrest 5, so that the armrest 5 does not project outwardly from a vehicle width direction area of the console box 1, which does not cause a problem on interference with peripheries.
