Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed control method for a rolling main motor by which speed-uniformity and high responsiveness are satisfied simultaneously with respect to the rolling main motor for a tandem mill using a D.C. motor and an A.C. motor together. SOLUTION: In the speed control method for the rolling main motor 1 for driving a stand of the tandem mill, an ideal response correction circuit 5 is provided in the output stage of a motor speed command of an MRH circuit which is the speed reference of the whole line. The ideal response correction circuit 5 is provided with a weight matrix for minimizing the error vector between the speed response of a controlled system model and the speed response of an ideal response model and, by issuing the speed command of the motor after performing correction by passing the motor speed command of MRH circuit 4 through the ideal response correction circuit 5, the speed-uniformity of the motor can be made constant.
