Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple inspection method for a tight contact part between a cope and a drag in a mold, which is a judgement method for perceiving whether the tight contact state in the tight contact part between all the periphery of the upper edge in the drag and all the periphery of the lower edge in the cope in the mold is good or not, wherein whether all the periphery of the tight contact part between the cope and the drag is tightly contacted as design or not can be perceived by a simple means of discriminating at different two parts; and to provide an inspection device. SOLUTION: The inspection method comprises: a stage where, while a light is emitted from the side direction position of the tight contact part between the cope and the drag to the circumferential face part of the cope, the tight contact part and the circumferential face part of the drag, image pick-up is performed by a CCD camera and the picked-up image is binarized, and whether the bright part corresponding to the irradiated light of the binarized image is continued with the dark part corresponding to the tight contact part sandwiched or not is discriminated; and a stage where, at a position different from the above image pick-up position, image pick-up is performed similarly to the above and the picked-up image is binarized, and then the discrimination is performed. When in the two discrimination, they are both continued, it is judged that the tight contact state between all the periphery of the upper edge in the upper part of the drag and all the periphery of the lower edge in the lower part of the cope is good.
