Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system stabilizing apparatus, capable of performing stabilization control by the most appropriate generator control at the occurrence of system failure, by calculating the stability state in the present system state as the threshold effective power flow and by determining the stability at a high speed, using the difference between the threshold effective power flow and the present power flow. SOLUTION: A system data input means 1 fetches the state of an on-line system. A state estimate/calculation means 2 performs calculation, an assumed failure-setting means 3 sets the system failures to be assumed, and a threshold flow calculation means 11 calculates the most proper threshold effective power flow. An effective power surplus amount is calculated from the data of these results and a simple stability determining means 12 determines the stability. If the state is decided as being unstable, a generator control measure/calculation means 4 calculates the stability in details and calculates the control measures for unstable generator; and when actual system failure occurs, a stabilization control means 5 performs control measures for the generator.
