Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch pipe for a hydrant, which can prevent an unreasonable force from being applied on the branch pipe even at the occurrence of earthquake etc., and facilitates an insertion of each kind of equipment into a main pipe through the branch pipe. SOLUTION: The branch pipe for hydrant is comprised of an upward branch pipe 11 branched from the laterally facing main pipe 1, and the hydrant connected to the branch pipe 11 via joints 12, 13 and 17. The bore diameter of the branch pipe 11 is formed larger than the diameter of a water intake 16 of the hydrant. The wall thickness of the branch pipe 11 is formed larger than the wall thickness of the pipe corresponding to the bore diameter of the water intake 16 of the hydrant.
