Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear which can suppress the abrasion and exfoliation, and can extend the life span. SOLUTION: Depressions having a fine concave shape are inunumerably prepared in a gear tooth surface 9 at random. A surface roughness parameter Ryni of the surface preparing the depressions are set within the range 0.4 μm≤Ryni≤1.0 μm. An Sk value is ≤-1.6. Thereby, the gear tooth surface 9 exerts high oil film forming performance, and the longer life span can be obtained even under the condition where the oil film thickness is extremely thin under the low viscosity and dilute lubrication.
