SOLUTION: The work machine comprises a mixture intake port (18) provided in a cylinder (13) to be controlled for open and close by a piston (15), an exhaust port (19) coming out from a combustion chamber (41), wherein a two-stroke engine (12) has a lateral plane (30) which divides the cylinder (13) in parallel to a cylinder longitudinal axis (22) and includes the cylinder longitudinal axis (22), and the exhaust port (19) coming out from the combustion chamber (41) is disposed on one side of the lateral plane (30).
