Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide neutral hardboard which has excellent paper strength and contains little dissolvable impurities such as aluminum. SOLUTION: This neutral hardboard made into a single layer or into two or more layers satisfies the following (1) to (3). It is preferable that the neutral hardboard contains waste paper pulp as a raw material in an amount of ≥60 wt.%. (1). The content of aluminum ion extracted from the neutral hardboard with hydrochloric acid is ≤0.5 wt.%. (2). The content of sulfate ion extracted from the neutral hardboard with hot water is ≤0.1 wt.%.
