Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system in a public area not relying on radio waves. SOLUTION: The communication system includes: an electrode 4 arranged to a seating position of a chair; a transceiver 3 connected to the electrode and a server 2; a computer 5 used by a seating person; and a transceiver 6 connected to the computer. Information is transmitted/received between an electrode of the transceiver 6 connected to the computer and the server via a human body and via the electrode 4 and the transceiver 3. The transceiver 3 applies an electric field in response to a waveform of a voltage as the information to an electrooptical crystal, the electrooptical crystal modulates a polarization state of light from a light source, the transceiver 3 converts the polarization modulated light into intensity modulation light, converts the intensity modulation light into an electric signal, which is connected to the server via a network 1.
