Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overall size and cost of a rotary anode X-ray generator device. SOLUTION: A device in accordance with this invention for the emission of X-rays, comprises a vacuum pump 1 the sealed peripheral casing 1f whereof contains a cathode 3 for emitting a flux 4 of electrons, a rotary anode 2 mounted at the end of a shaft 1e of the vacuum pump 1, and a collection device 5 for collecting an emitted electron beam 6. This reduces the overall size of the X-ray source and, thanks to the very fast and stable rotation of the rotary anode 2, a high-luminance generation source is produced. The rotary anode 2 may be moved axially to compensate the wear that it suffers through the impact of the incident electron beam 4 coming from the cathode 3. The device further comprises a cooling element fixed to a vacuum pump stator or to the sealed peripheral casing opposite one of the main radial faces of the rotary anode to absorb radiated heat energy emitted by the rotary anode in operation.
