Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a (Bi, Pb) 2223 oxide superconductive wire material having a high critical current density and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing metallic coating (Bi, Pb) 2223 oxide superconductive wire material 11, raw material powder is filled in a metal pipe and wire drawing processing is carried out, and then rolling and heat treating processings are carried out. The total superconductivity filament peripheral length (A) of a matrix before rolling processing step and the cross section (B) of the total superconductivity filament have the relation expressed by 40≤A/B≤80(1/mm).
