IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology, capable of precisely measuring the photographic position or the attitude of a photographic device, or the coordinates of an object to be measured, from a motion picture image or a photographed image sequentially graduating, even when a process of the rocking of the photographic device and a process of the disappearance or the reappearance of a feature point are required. SOLUTION: An image processing device 100 comprises an acquiring section 2 for a photographed image, for sequentially acquiring photographed images that change in small steps, in response to the object moving relatively, a feature-extracting section 3 for extracting feature points from the capture image obtained from the acquiring section 2, a tracking section 4 for feature point for searching, for a plurality of capture images acquired, before or after the capture images with the feature point extracted, a candidate-corresponding point corresponding to the feature point and tracking the feature point, and a processing section 5 for deciding the corresponding point from the tracking result for the candidate-corresponding point and calculating the photographic position or the coordinates of the object by using the corresponding point decided.
