Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional lubricant to be used at the time of coitus, vaginoscope insertion and catherization, or massage, and reducing the risk of being infected with virus such as HIV even if brought into contact with blood attributable to an accident, wounds, etc., or sperm, etc. SOLUTION: The functional lubricant comprises a water-soluble polymer and an antiviral substance, especially a silk protein sulfate. This lubricant is soluble to water and slight in cytotoxicity. In this lubricant, the water-soluble polymer has good viscosity and lubricity, and the antiviral substance, especially the silk protein sulfate, exerts thermal insulation and antiviral effect.
