Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely control the amount of intrusion while keeping a die and a workpiece parallel in forming processing performed by intruding a die against the workpiece. SOLUTION: A large displacement actuator is made to conduct intrusion operation of intruding a die 27 against a workpiece W, to stop the intrusion operation when the intrusion operation satisfies a predetermined requirement, and to measure repulsive force produced on the die as a result of the intrusion operation at three or more different points. Further, three or more of small displacement actuators 11 provided between the large displacement actuator and the die with a small displacement control range is made to conduct intrusion operation such that all the measured repulsive forces are approximately the same. Moreover, three or more of distance measuring means 2 measure a distance between the die and the workpiece, and store the distances as initial distances Ls. The respective small displacement actuators are further made to conduct the intrusion operation until a difference exceeds the set value between the distance measured by the distance measuring means and the initial distance.
